What are these ads doing here?
Before becoming a visual artist in 2022, I spent the lion's share of my career as an advertising agency copywriter and creative director. I happily (most of the time) toiled at agencies in Minneapolis and Madison, Wisconsin, working alongside smart and talented (almost all of them) art directors and designers. Together, we created the ads you see below. (I’m the copywriter for every one of them.)

Jazz at 5 is an annual summer concert series held in the shadow of the state capitol in Madison, Wisconsin. Jazz artists from across the country perform at these outdoor events. Shows begin at 5 p.m.
